Ingredients

  • 500g chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup potato starch
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sake
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Mix soy sauce, sake, ginger, garlic, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
  2. Add chicken pieces to the marinade and let sit for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan to 170°C (340°F).
  4. Coat each chicken piece in potato starch.
  5. Fry the chicken in batches for 5-6 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
