Ingredients

  • 1 cup white rice
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cook chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until browned.
  4. Remove chicken and set aside.
  5. Add rice, chicken broth, BBQ sauce, and honey to the skillet.
  6. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
  7. Place chicken on top of the rice mixture.
  8. Cover and cook for 20 minutes or until rice is tender and chicken is cooked through.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
