A simple and delicious one-pan meal featuring tender chicken, rice, and a sweet honey BBQ sauce.

- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup white rice
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until browned.
- Remove chicken and set aside.
- Add rice, chicken broth, BBQ sauce, and honey to the skillet.
- Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
- Place chicken on top of the rice mixture.
- Cover and cook for 20 minutes or until rice is tender and chicken is cooked through.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use long-grain white rice for best results.
- Adjust honey to taste for desired sweetness.
- Chicken thighs can be substituted for breasts.
