Ingredients

  • 24 chocolate mint candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add egg and peppermint extract, mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, mixing until combined.
  6. Add green food coloring if desired.
  7. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  9. Press a chocolate mint candy into the center of each cookie while warm.
  10. Let cool before serving.
