Description

Make these classic BBQ ribs for Father’s Day. They are tender, smoky, and coated in a sweet and tangy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 racks pork baby back ribs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to 250°F for indirect heat.
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
  3. Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt in a bowl.
  4. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
  5. Place ribs on the grill away from direct heat, meat side up.
  6. Close the lid and cook for 2 hours.
  7. Brush barbecue sauce onto the ribs.
  8. Cook for another 30 minutes until sauce is sticky.
  9. Remove from grill, rest for 10 minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

  • Soak wood chips in water for added smoke flavor.
  • Check ribs periodically to prevent burning.
  • Internal temperature should reach 190°F for tenderness.
