Ingredients

  • 4 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Rub pork shoulder with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan and sear pork on all sides.
  3. Transfer pork to a slow cooker, add 1/2 cup water, and cook on low for 8 hours.
  4. Shred pork with forks and mix with barbecue sauce.
  5. Toast hamburger buns lightly.
  6. Assemble sandwiches with pulled pork and serve.
